Restaurant Row's Ocean Club closing on Sept. 2

Ocean Club, a nighttime staple at Restaurant Row for the past 10 years, will close Sept. 2.Mel Holi, general manager of the club, said negotiations are under way with two other properties about possible relocation. "Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Restaurant Row; however, we are still on track to reinvent the Honolulu night life scene in 2008," he said in a statement.
Ocean Club has been one of the premier Honolulu nightclubs and "one of the top 100 in the United States, and for that we are truly grateful," said Holi.
