Barnwell's Gifford buys 7,500 shares of company stock

Barnwell Industries Inc. Chief Financial Officer Russell Gifford bought 7,500 shares of the Honolulu-based real estate and drilling company's shares on Aug. 16 as the stock price fell below the more than $20 average price it's traded at for most of this year.A filing at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shows Gifford exercised stock options he held to purchase the shares. His purchase came as the day the shares closed at $18.70 each.
