State Real Estate Commission sets Big Island meetings

News Release

HONOLULU – The Real Estate Commission will convene its standing committee meetings in the Naupaka III Ballroom, in the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort, located at 69-275 Waikoloa Beach Drive, on Monday, September 10.

The Laws and Rules Review Committee meeting will convene at 9:30 a.m., and will be followed by the Education Review Committee meeting and the Condominium Review Committee meeting.

Real estate licensees, government officials, members of the condominium community, educators, and interested individuals are encouraged to participate at these public meetings. Members of the Real Estate Commission and the commission's staff will be present. The committees invite comments and recommendations on current and future programs.

Concurrently, a real estate specialist and a condominium specialist will be available for individual meetings between 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or by appointment.

Real estate specialist Diane Fujimura will be available to answer questions about licensing laws and rules, licensing applications, broker experience certificate applications, examination administration, continuing education, new legislation, Real Estate Commission procedures, educational programs, and other related topics.

Senior condominium specialist Cynthia Yee will be available to answer questions about boards, associations, meetings, condominium managing agents, condominium association registration, condominium hotel operators, fidelity bonding, condominium property regime statute, public reports, project registration, the condominium dispute resolution program, legislation, reserves, and other condominium-related topics.

The Commission will also be holding educational seminars on the Island of Hawai'i designed to implement and educate the condominium community about the condominium laws, Chapters 514A and 514B, HRS. The events are free and open to the general public. Interested individuals are invited to attend these educational seminars to examine more closely how the condominium laws affect them.

The educational seminars will be held in the Naupaka III Ballroom of the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort, located at 69-275 Waikoloa Beach Drive, on Monday, September 10, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and in Hilo, at the Imiloa Astronomy Center of Hawai'i, located at 600 Imiloa Place, on Tuesday, September 11, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
