Lingle appoints advisory panel

Five volunteers have been appointed by Gov. Linda Lingle to serve on the Governor's Lana'i Community Advisory Council.

The members are Christine Costales, an endangered species field technician with the Research Center for the University of Hawai'i; Darlene Endrina, of L.D. Productions; Michael Lopez, of Trilogy Excursions; Douglas Rolefson, of the Transportation Security Administration; and chairman Matthew Mano, a county wastewater treatment plant worker.

The council will hold public meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

The first meeting will be at 5 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Lana'i Senior Center.
