Small Mokuleia brushfire posing no threat

Advertiser Staff

Honolulu firefighters are battling a small brushfire above Camp Erdman in Mokule'ia that is not threatening property.

Fire Department spokesman Capt. Terry Seeling described it as a "100-yard line fire" on the Hale'iwa side of Camp Erdman possibly started by a wind-blown amber from yesterday's brushfire.

Two engine companies, a tanker and HFD's helicopter with its tender responded to the 2:55 p.m. alarm. They were estimating a two-hour work time, Seelig said.
