CrimeStoppers releases description of UH dorm assailant

Honolulu CrimeStoppers today released a description of a man who broke into a 10th-floor dorm room at Hale Mokihana on the University of Hawai'i at Manoa campus early Sunday and attacked a woman.

The suspect is a slim Caucasian, about 6 feet tall, and was wearing a green T-shirt, according to CrimeStoppers.

The break-in at 2583 Dole St. was reported at 5:50 a.m.

Police are investigating the case as a burglary, third-degree sex assault and kidnapping.

Gregg Takayama, campus communications director, said fliers with the suspect description are being posted on the UH campus this evening, beginning at Hale Mokihana.
