Hawaii cement shipments fell 2 percent in June

Hawai'i shipments of Portland and blended cements fell to 43,000 metric tons in June, a 2 percent decline from a year earlier, according to a preliminary Minerals Industry Survey by the U.S. Geological Survey.The report said shipments nationwide were off 11.9 percent in June compared to the same month a year earlier.
