Hawaiian Tel says service makes switching ISPs easier

HONOLULU — Hawaiian Telcom, the state's leading telecommunications provider, announced today the release of TrueSwitch, a free service that helps customers easily and conveniently switch their e-mail accounts and address books from other Internet Service and email providers.
TrueSwitch copies e-mails and e-mail folders, address books and favorites to Hawaiian Telcom's popular High-Speed Internet service and notifies friends and associates of the new hawaiiantel.net e-mail address. * In addition, the service can close out the old account for the customer and continue forwarding e-mails from the old account to the new Hawaiian Telcom address.
"We found a way to make our best value even better by removing the barriers to switching for customers who are unhappy with their current provider," said Michael "Mac" McHale, Chief Marketing Officer. "Users no longer need to manually copy stored e-mails or address book content when they switch to Hawaiian Telcom High-Speed Internet. TrueSwitch takes care of all of that, quickly, easily and efficiently."
TrueSwitch is an Internet service-switching platform created by Esaya Inc., a leading developer of online account–switching solutions.

The new service can accommodate switching from many e-mail service providers and programs including AOL, Google's Gmail and Time Warner's RoadRunner service. Customers who have other services but use Microsoft's Outlook or Outlook Express installed on their computer can also use TrueSwitch.
