3 new lieutenants among 34 HPD promotions

Honolulu police chief Boisse Correa today announced the promotions of Arthur Kurosu, Larry Lawson and Glenn Maekawa to the rank of lieutenant effective Sunday.Kurosu will be assigned to the East Honolulu patrol district, Lawson to Kane'ohe and Maekawa to Pearl City.
Seventeen others earned protion to sergeant or detective. They are Malcolm Lutu, Daniel Jacso, David Boesing, Brent Bonnell, Samuel Delovio III, Michael Hall, Kevin Kadooka, Carl Kalani, Ervine Kaulia, Keith Marini, Dodd Okamura, Jon Oshiro, Shellie Paiva, Brian Punzal, Juan Quintanilla Jr., Chad Tokunaga, and Patricia Wilson.
Newly promoted metropolitan police II officers are:
Aaron Amimoto, Andre Carreira, Kelvin Espiritu, Steven Kaniho, Joseph Keola IV, Eric Lalau, Anthony Matchen, Troy Richards. Jesus Rosalez, George Silva III, Robert Steiner Jr., Christine Thomas, Alfred Vegas Jr. and Richard Weitzel.
