Reorganized and redesignated June 26, 1944, as the 44th Signal Heavy Construction Battalion.
Inactivated April 6, 1946, in Japan.
Redesignated Aug. 1, 1966, as the 44th Signal Battalion, allotted to the regular Army and activated in Vietnam.
Inactivated March 1, 1970, in Vietnam.
Activated March 17, 1972, in Vietnam.
Inactivated June 3, 1972, in Oakland, Calif.
Activated March 16, 1981, in Germany.
