Eight promoted to rank of Honolulu fire captain

The promotions of eight Honolulu Fire Department captains was announced today by Chief Kenneth G. Silva in a news statement.

Promoted to the rank of captain were Nathan S. Alameda, Edward D. Bruffey, Brian K. Carvalho, Kenneth J. Heim, Dale K. Mosher, Alexander M. Silva Jr., Frank R. Supranovich and Cary K. Yamamoto.

Fifteen others earned promotion to the rank of Fire Fighter II.

They are Timothy H. Caires, Andrew R. Cannon, Michael E. Carter, Peter J. Comilla III, Steven M. Granato, Alan A. Hackbarth, Keoki K. Kaalele, Kevin K. Kahale, Stan M. Kimura, Randall N. Lindsey, Malcolm K. Medrano, Carl R. Nagatori Jr., Herbert S. Nishii, Cody E. Racoma and Stanley J. Yanke.

A 9 a.m. ceremony will be held Monday at HFD's Charles H. Thurston Training Center at 890 Valkenburgh St. to recognize the newly promoted officers.
