TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"CNN Reports: God's Warriors" conclusion, 3 p.m., CNN. The first two pieces of this documentary viewed the collision of Jewish and Muslim zealots. Now comes a report on Christian conservatives, preparing a new generation. That involves private schools, home schools, colleges. A quarter-century ago, Liberty Baptist College had 3,200 students; today, Liberty University tops 20,000. Its first law-school class has just graduated; preparing for the battles ahead, its students had a replica of the Supreme Court room. Christiane Amanpour interviewed Liberty founder Jerry Falwell, shortly before his death. It's an intriguing portrait.

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. If you haven't been following this show, here's a good chance to start from the pilot film. We see brainy Betty start work at a slick fashion magazine. The hour has large flaws but started something big. "Ugly Betty" went on to be nominated for 11 Emmys, including best comedy series.

OF NOTE

Football, 2 p.m., Fox. The Jacksonville Jaguars visit the Green Bay Packers, in a pre-season game. And yes, it will be nice to see Green Bay when people are actually warm.

"When the Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts (2006), 3:30 p.m., HBO. Spike Lee's beautifully crafted documentary takes a passionate look at New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

"My Name is Earl," 7 p.m., NBC. In a rerun, Joy is pregnant, and Earl is flashing back to her previous pregnancy.

"Mad Men," 7 p.m., AMC. Peggy might not be a secretary for long. She offers great ideas for an ad campaign.

"Welcome to the Parker," 7 p.m., Bravo, with a rerun at 9. In previous weeks, Michael has clearly been overwhelmed by detail. That peaks tonight. The year's most important event is coming that day, but Michael is simply missing. It's an interesting reality hour that also has the interplay between a nutritionist and her client, who sneaks off for a big meal.

"30 Rock," 7:30 p.m., NBC. Jack fidgets as a corporate higher-up (Rip Torn) eyes his work, in this rerun. Meanwhile, Liz is uncharacteristically happy in her relationship with Floyd.

"The Office," 8 p.m., NBC. In a rerun, Michael must calm people when prom invitations are printed on paper that has an obscene watermark.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. A blackjack dealer was killed, in this rerun. There are suspects who talked of a shape-shifting alien.

"Boston Legal," 9 p.m., ABC. Here's another Emmy nominee. It has seven nods overall, including best drama series. In this transplanted rerun, Denny is forced to try to change a long-ago verdict.

"Burn Notice," 10 p.m., USA. A man was pleased to be house-sitting for a millionaire — until strangers swooped in and kidnapped his girlfriend.
