Gilliom to sing for Hale 'Opio

Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom, female vocalist of the year in this year's Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, will present a benefit concert in November for Hale 'Opio.

Gilliom will play at 7 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Kaua'i War Memorial Convention Hall.

Tickets to the charity event are $35 at ticket outlets and $40 at the door.

Hale 'Opio provides residential and treatment programs for youth.

Its clients are young people who have been neglected, who are runaways or who have various legal problems.

Gilliom in this year's Na Hoku awards also won album of the year and Hawaiian album of the year for "Generation Hawai'i."
