Aloha Stadium announces parking plans for UH games

Aloha Stadium will open its lower Halawa parking lot an hour earlier than in past seasons and offer a tailgate area in the upper lot for the upcoming University of Hawai'i football season.The earlier opening of the lower lot — at 1:30 p.m. — is an effort to ease traffic on game days.
The Warriors open their season Sept. 1 with a home game against Northern Colorado.
The lower Halawa lot accommodates approximately 1,500 vehicles, according to stadium officials. The other parking gates will open at 2:30 p.m.
Centerplate will host a tailgate area in the grass area near the upper Halawa lot, near poles 1 and 29. The enclosed tailgate will be air-conditioned and equipped with televisions to watch other football games around the country.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase inside the tailgate. Fans utilizing the shuttle service from alternate parking sites (Radford High School, Kam Drive-In, Leeward Community College) will be allowed free access to this area. Fans can also pay a $5 cover charge to enter the tailgate.
Access to the lower lot will be through parking gate 4. Vehicles will not be allowed to move to other sections.

Note: Security is present at all alternate parking sites. Shuttle service begins at 3:30 p.m. and up to one hour after the game ends.
GAME DAY
1:30 p.m. — Lower Halawa parking gate opens
2:30 p.m— Other parking gates open
3 p.m — Turnstile gates open
(Traffic updates available on ESPN 1420 AM beginning at 4:30 p.m.)
6:05 p.m.—Kickoff

— Gate 1 (Main Salt Lake): Bus Lot and Parking areas 1-7 only
— Gate 2 (North Kam): Parking areas 8-14 only, and access to reserved parking sections 13 ABCD and 14 BCD for UH 'Ahahui Koa Anuenue members
— Gate 3 (Halawa): Upper and Lower Halawa parking lots only
— Gate 4 (Lower Salt Lake): Lower Halawa parking lots only
— Gate 5 (Kam): Kam parking lot only
