Thunderstorms hit North Shore, flood advisory issued

The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for the island of O'ahu until 4 p.m. today.

Heavy thundershowers are reported just southeast of Waialua and Hale'iwa. At 1 p.m., rain was falling at the rate of 2 inches an hour.

Other locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to, Poamoho Stream, Opaeula Stream and Helemano Stream, as well as Kamehameha Highway from Hale'iwa to Helemano.
