Pali Kailua-bound closed tonight for tunnel upkeep

HONOLULU — The state Department of Transportation advises O'ahu motorists that the Pali Highway will be closed in the Kailua-bound direction between Waokanaka Street and Kamehameha Highway at Castle Junction from 7 p.m. tonight through 7 a.m. Sunday for tunnel cleaning and maintenance work.Kailua-bound motorists are advised to use such alternate routes as the Likelike Highway and the H-3 Freeway and to allow for extra travel time. Only emergency vehicles and City and County buses will be allowed to use the Kailua-bound lanes during the closure.
