South Shore surf expected to rise starting late tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

Look for mediocre surf for the next day or two until a new swell rolls into town, according to the National Weather Service.

Today, surf along east- and west-facing shores is expected to be in the 1- to 3-foot range.

Surf along south-facing shores will decrease to 2 to 4 feet today, while north-facing shores can expect surf of 2 feet or less, forecasters said.

Things begin to look much better with the start of the new week when a moderate south swell will begin building late Monday nearing advisory levels Tuesday and Wednesday.
