Presentation set on cultural property in Waimea Valley

Christopher M. Monahan, President and Principal Investigator, TCP Hawai'i, LLC, will be giving a talk at 7 p.m. Sept. 4 at Waimea Valley Audubon Center regarding the traditional cultural property study undertaken at Waimea Valley on behalf of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs.

Monahan received his PhD from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, having worked on archaeological investigations in Kenya. He has served as the O'ahu lead archaeologist for the state Historic Preservation Division, a forensic expert, and a university lecturer at the University of Hawaii-Manoa, Loyola University, and George Washington University. Most recently, Monahan completed a traditional cultural property study of Kane'ikapualena (Kamaile), Wai'anae.
