One of two McCully robbery suspects arrested

Advertiser Staff

A 30-year-old man was arrested for questioning shortly after a delivery man reported being robbed last night in McCully.

The suspect, who has no permanent local address, was arrested at 8:50 p.m. yesterday at 1697 Kalauokalani Way after the victim pointed him out to a police officer.

The delivery man told police he was confronted by two men who demanded money. The men took the victim's car keys and cash and allegedly assaulted him before fleeing, police said.

The delivery man called police and followed his assailants as they walked away. He was able to flag down a police officer responding to the robbery and pointed out one of the suspects.

The man was arrested on two counts of second-degree robbery.

The second suspect is still at large, police said.
