8 teens to serve as Hawaii Theatre apprentices

Eight O'ahu students selected as apprentices for the Hawai'i Theatre will work in various aspects of design and production, culminating in the April production of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" at the downtown theater.

The group, led by education director Hester Kamin, includes Amy Fisk, 16, from Maryknoll High School; Burch Godwin, 17, from 'Iolani School; Lisa Kinoshita, 16, from Kalaheo High School; Schyler McDougle,16, from Moanalua High School; Joyce Park, 15, from McKinley High School; Justin Schneider,15, from Kapolei High School; Kaitlin Souza, 17, from the Myron B. Thompson Academy; and Nicolette Trevemen, 14, from Kahuku High and Intermediate School.
