The Hawaii Superferry arrived on time in Kahului Harbor at 9:19 a.m. today to a very quiet reception. Unlike its reception on Kaua'i the night before, no protesters were in the water. The vessel left on schedule from Honolulu to Maui this morning at 6:30 a.m.

On Saturday morning, the Hawaii Superferry began offering special $5 one-way tickets for passengers and $5 one-way tickets for vehicles through Sept. 5.

As of 3 p.m. yesterday, the Hawaii Superferry was 97 percent booked, a company spokeswoman said.
