Meth summit today on Big Island gives progress update

Methamphetamine Summit IV takes place on the Big Island today from noon to 1 p.m. at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa.

Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona will be at the meeting, along with Big Island Mayor Harry Kim, police chief Lawrence K. Mahuna and county prosecutor Jay Kimura.

Updates will be given on the progress the state and county have made over the past five years in fighting the ice epidemic, along with challenges that lie ahead.
