Accident closes lanes near Beretania-Kalakaua

Two makai lanes of Kalakaua Avenue remain closed to traffic at 9:50 tonight due to an accident involving a vehicle hitting a natural gas line.Motorists cannot turn left from Beretania onto Kalakaua, police said.
The accident happened about 8:25 p.m. near 1551 Beretania St.
There were no reports of injuries and no evacuations took place.
