Swell expected today along Oahu's south-facing shores

Advertiser Staff

Surf along O'ahu's south-facing shores is expected to build to 4 feet to 6 feet today, according to the National Weather Service.

A newly arrived south swell could push the surf near the high-surf advisory threshold of 8 feet along south-facing shores by early tomorrow morning, forecasters said.

The surf is expected to slowly decline on Thursday, but another moderate south swell is due in early Friday and will likely continue through the weekend.

Elsewhere today, look for surf of 2 feet to 4 feet along east- and west-facing shores, and 2 feet or less along north-facing shores.
