Officials get up to speed on Hawaii highway safety plan

Officials from the Honolulu Police Department, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the American Association of Retired Persons and state departments of transportation and health are meeting at 10 a.m. today to discuss the implementation of new guidelines of the Strategic Highway Safety Plan.The plan is aimed at reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities. The meeting, which will last until noon, will be at the Honolulu Country Club
