HECO repairs to affect traffic in Waianae, Punchbowl

Hawaiian Electric will be closing traffic lanes at two sites for repair work today through Friday.

A utility pole will be replaced on Iolani Avenue near Pele Street, closing the road, restricting travel from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day to local traffic.

On Thursday, HECO will be replacing another pole and associated equipment on Farrington Highway between Kaulawaha Road and Alawa Place near Wai'anae High School. Work will be from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., during which one Makaha-bound lane will be closed.
