Ewa man arrested by police turned over to feds

A 45-year-old 'Ewa man arrested today in Waipahu was later turned over by police to U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement agents.Rodney E. Avilla, who has 31 prior convictions, was arrested at 94-879 Farrington Hwy. at 1:38 p.m. It is unknown what federal charge is pending against Avilla.
