Lingle releases $724,000 for Hilo library

Governor Linda Lingle released $724,000 yesterday for accessibility and safety improvements at Hilo Public Library.

Funds will be used for various renovations to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and to improve the safety of the building for all library patrons. The project includes renovations to the library parking lot, restrooms and entrance area, along with improvements to the library's exterior windows and emergency lighting system.
