Longs says same-store sales rose 2.2% this month

Longs Drug Stores Corp., the Walnut Creek, Calif., retailer that's the largest operator of drug stores in Hawai'i, reported same-store sales rose 2.2 percent in August.Longs said pharmacy same-store sales rose 3.3 percent for the month, while comparable sales of front-end merchandise increased 1.1 percent.
