Open house today for Maui hospital therapy unit

Maui Memorial Medical Center will host an open house at its physical, occupational and speech therapy department from 1 to 3 p.m. today.The department is on the first floor of the hospital's new 75,000-square-foot Kahului Tower. Free valet parking is available and refreshments will be served.
Director of physical therapy Christina Nihem said the department has a new outpatient gym with private treatment rooms, hand therapy, a wound care room, and new exercise equipment. The unit has mountain and ocean views.
