Soares, Fonoti won't play in UH's football opener

Hawai'i football head coach June Jones said today strongside linebacker Blaze Soares will not play in Saturday's opener against Northern Colorado.

Soares had been limited because of an injured left hamstring.

Defensive end John Fonoti also will not play this week. He will undergo an MRI on his sore left heel.
