'Fill Da Boot' for Maui firefighters to benefit MDA

Advertiser Staff

Maui firefighters will fan out around the island this weekend to encourage the community to help "fill da boot" with donations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

Crews will be stationed at Wal-Mart and Maui Mall, Pi`ilani Shopping Center and Azeka II (Long's) Shopping Center, and Lahaina Cannery Mall. Collection hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Funds collected locally will assist Hawaii MDA patients, who participate in activities such as field trips, seminars and a weeklong summer camp in Honolulu.
