KANE'OHE
Goods going to Afghan keiki

Advertiser Staff

Children in Afghanistan will soon be getting a shipment of shoes, food, toys and medicines, thanks to the women of the Kane'ohe Stake Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

At a recent day of service, the 60 women helped gather and pack the goods for Afghan children. In all, about 120 pounds of socks and shoes and several large cases of stuffed animals were collected.

The women also sewed bibs for kupuna at the Pohai Nani care home who receive special care, including various massages, pedicures, manicures, facials and haircuts.
