KHNL-8 loses another seasoned sports anchor

Weekend sports anchor Reid Shimizu has turned in his resignation at KHNL-8, which will leave the NBC affiliate without a seasoned sports anchor.It's the station's second departure this month. Sports director and anchor Russell Yamanoha left the station in Aug. 17 to concentrate on his Realtor job with Prudential Locations LLC.
Both Shimizu and Yamanoha also were principal voices for K5 The Home Team, KHNL's sister station which televises major University of Hawai'i sports events.
There was no word on Shimuzu's plans.
