KILAUEA
Water Dept. thanks users

Advertiser Staff

The Kaua'i Department of Water thanked users this week for cutting water consumption in the Kilauea area during repairs to its system.

Water use had been cut by as much as 10 percent.

The department is making repairs to one of its two Kilauea area pumps and had asked for conservation.

The agency said it seeks continued conservation as repairs progress and asks residents to avoid nonessential uses such as car-washing and watering of lawns.

In-home uses for drinking, cooking, laundry and so on are fine, the department said.
