Coast Guard assists fishing vessel north of Hilo

A Coast Guard rescue helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point medically evacuated an injured man this morning 40 miles north of Hilo.The Coast Guard received a call from the sport fishing vessel's crew at 8:45 a.m. concerning a 30-year-old crewmember aboard the 28-foot sport fishing vessel Chelse Lynn.
The injured man was taken to Hilo Medical Center on the Big Island.
