Yeah, we know there's a really big football game going on tonight, but there's also a really big holiday celebration going on at Honolulu Hale. It's the launch of Honolulu City Lights, that annual lights/parade/tree-lighting/concert/Christmas tree and wreath display extravaganza that's sure to get all into the spirit of the season.

Food booths and keiki rides open at 4 p.m. near the Skygate sculpture. The electric light parade starts at 6 p.m. at River and King streets, arriving in front of Honolulu Hale at about 6:30 p.m., when the giant Christmas tree will be lit up. That's also when the tree and wreath displays open in Honolulu Hale and Lane Gallery. A concert at Skygate begins at 7 p.m.

It's all free.
