Ewa woman facing break-in, escape charges

Police today arrested a Renton Village woman on suspicion of breaking into an 'Ewa home and later attempting to flee from custody.

The suspect, 35, allegedly entered the home through glass sliding doors at 11:25 a.m. and left the same way, police said.

The entry was witnessed by a resident of the home seated in the living room, police said.

Police later located the suspect but she allegedly tried to escape from custody. The woman was arrested at 1:55 p.m. on Fort Weaver Road.

She was booked on felony counts of unauthorized entry into a dwelling and second-degree escape.

The woman has 14 prior criminal convictions.
