Ziggy Marley concert at Kualoa Ranch Saturday

Advertiser Staff

Grammy-award winning reggae player Ziggy Marley returns to Hawaii for a concert on Oahu this week.

Marley will play Oahu's Kulaloa Ranch on Saturday, Dec. 8 as part of the Surf and Roots Fest — a multi-act music festival that will also include live sets from Natural Vibrations, Ooklah the Moc, Irie Souls and, according to promoters, other yet-to-be-announced local and national acts.

The all-ages festival is scheduled to run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets are $25 if purchased by Dec. 8, and $30 on the day of the festival, at www.presaleticketsonline.com and at all Hawaiian Island Creations locations.

On Maui, Marley will be performing on Dec. 9 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the Maui concert are $29 and will go on sale Nov. 10 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center box office and by phone at 808-242-7469.

Marley's most recent album was 2006's "Love is My Religion," which won a Grammy for reggae album of the year in February.
