Farrington Highway reopens in both directions
Advertiser Staff
Farrington Highway was reopened in both directions at 9:45 a.m. this morning near Makua Valley as the U.S. Army detonated a 250-pound World War II-era bomb and two artillery shells found during an ordnance sweep.
The removal of the ordnance will allow the resumption of cultural access visits by civilian groups, which were halted because of safety concerns.
