A pedestrian critically injured Nov. 7 when he was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Republican Street at Kalihi Street on a motorized wheelchair died on Thanksgiving Day at The Queen's Medical Center.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner's office today identified the victim as William Kihewa, 84.

Police said Kihewa was in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup driven by a 42-year-old woman. Kihewa was the 19th pedestrian killed on O'ahu roadways in 2007.
