Brennan WAC player of year; 11 Warriors on first team

University of Hawai'i senior quarterback Colt Brennan today was named Western Athletic Conference offensive player of the year for the second year in a row.UH's June Jones was named WAC coach of the year.
Also named to the all-WAC first team with Brennan are slotbacks Davone Bess and Ryan Grice-Mullins, center John Estes, left guard Hercules Satele, defensive end David Veikune, defensive tackle Michael Lafaele, linebackers Solomon Elimimian and Adam Leonard, cornerback Myron Newberry and kicker Dan Kelly.
UH wide receiver Jason Rivers was named to the second team.
UH's offensive unit of Brennan, Grice-Mullins, Bess, Rivers and C.J. Hawthorne were honored with a special offensive unit of the year award.
Brennan led the 10th-ranked Warriors to an undefeated (12-0) regular season and a berth in the BCS Allstate Sugar Bowl.
This season, Brennan completed 337 of 472 passes for 4,174 yards and 38 touchdowns. He had 14 interceptions. For his career, Brennan completed 1,093 of 1,546 passes for 14,024 yards and 131 touchdowns. He holds 20 NCAA records.
