As 'Lion King' leaves, Symphony returns to Blaisdell

With "The Lion King" ending its residency this weekend at Blaisdell Concert Hall, the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra is poised to return to the municipal facility with a Halekulani MasterWorks concert featuring Benedetto Lupu, pianist, at 8 p.m. Dec. 15 and 4 p.m. Dec. 16.

Maestro Andreas Delfs will conduct a program of Brahms, Beethoven and Smetana.

Tickets are $21 through $74, including handling fees, available at the symphony box office at 792-2000 (weekdays) or 525-0815 ext. 245 (evenings). Tickets also are available through Ticketmaster.com or 877-750-4400.
