Parking fee opponents will rally Saturday

Surfers, boaters, paddlers and others opposed to planned parking fees at small boat harbors will rally Saturday morning along Ala Moana Boulevard.Participants will gather by 8:30 a.m. at three sites: the Ala Wai Boat Harbor parking lot, the Magic Island parking lot, and McCoy Pavilion.
From the meeting points, they will march to Ala Moana Boulevard, where they will hold signs and wave ti leaves.
Opponents to the parking fees contend they would deny access to ocean areas cherished by surfers and other recreational users.
