High winds, more rain forecast for Hawaii

With a low-pressure system rapidly moving in from the northwest, the National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch starting this afternoon through tomorrow. Heavy rains are also expected.The wet and occasionally very windy pattern is expected to last the entire week.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Windy. Lows 70 to 75. South winds 20 to 30 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
Wednesday: Cloudy. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning: then occasional showers and chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Windy. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs 75 to 80. Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph shifting to the west 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Chance of rain 90 percent.
