After selling out their first announced concert date in less than three hours, The Police have announced plans for a second concert, Feb. 17 at Blaisdell Arena.

The additional playdate was added after a Feb. 16 date sold out in two hours on Saturday.

Tickets are $75, $95 and $225 plus fees. They go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at www.LiveNation.com, Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.com. For Ticketmaster by phone, call 877-750-4400. There is a six-ticket purchase limit.

The Police — Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers — are the hottest ticket of 2007, according to Billboard. The trio has been performing worldwide as part of its reunion tour; the Honolulu stop is the finale, though new international dates are expected in 2008.

The rock trio reached its peak with the 1983 album "Synchronicity," with such hit tunes as "Every Breath You Take," "Wrapped Around Your Finger" and "King of Pain." The band members went their separate ways in 1984, but were reunited for a performance at this year's Grammy Awards.
