UH volleyball at No. 15 in poll

The elimination loss to previously unranked Middle Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament dropped the University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team six spots to 15th in the College Sports Television /American Volleyball Coaches Association poll yesterday.

UH finished 27-6 while Middle Tennessee, which is 35-2, rose to 16th in the poll.

New Mexico State (26-6) of the Western Athletic Conference is 20th.

ALASKA ANCHORAGE ROLLS BY CHAMINADE

Kalhie Quinones scored 13 points as Alaska Anchorage (7-0) spread out the scoring in cruising to a 92-43 victory over Chaminade (0-3) last night in a women's non-conference basketball game in Anchorage, Alaska.

Thirteen of the 14 Alaska Anchorage players that saw action scored as the Seawolves took a 51-24 lead at halftime.

Simrin Cummins led Chaminade with 11 points.
