Hapa to make rare appearance at Kahala hotel

Hapa, the duo comprising Barry Flanagan and Nathan Aweau, will make a rare appearance from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Veranda of the Kahala Hotel & Resort.The duo, which has been on a tour of Japan, is among the long list of potential Best Hawaiian Music Album contenders in the upcoming 50th anniversary Grammy Awards set for Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The nominations are slated to be announced tomorrow morning from Los Angeles.
