Sugar Bowl returning 500 tickets to UH, possibly more

Advertiser Staff

The Allstate Sugar Bowl is sending the University of Hawai'i 500 additional tickets and will contact UH early next week about possibly making even more tickets available for the Jan. 1 game in the Superdome in New Orleans.

Tickets will be sold to the 352 season-ticket holders that are currently on a waiting list. A total of 1,500 tickets have been requested. UH is not adding names to the season-ticket-holder waiting list until those already on the list can be contacted about ticket availability.

The UH ticket office will begin contacting season-ticket holders on the waiting list beginning tomorrow. Season-ticket holders will be called in the order in which their request was received. The ticket office asks that those on the waiting list not call the ticket office regarding their status.

The Sugar Bowl is also reviewing its ticket situation over the weekend and will contact UH early next week about a possible second allocation of additional tickets.

Also, UH football season-ticket holders who have already purchased Sugar Bowl tickets and have been unable to make travel arrangements to New Orleans can contact the UH Ticket Office about possibly adjusting their ticket order. Based on need, UH may be able to buy back some or all of their tickets. Ticket office phone numbers are (808) 956-4482, 4483, 4484.
