Kalihi man charged with burglary, sex assault

Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors today charged a Kalihi man with allegedly confronting and molesting a woman taking a shower.

Milton Richburg, 56, was charged with first-degree burglary and fourth-degree sex assault. His bail is $11,000 pending an initial appearance tomorrow at District Court.

Richburg is accused of entering a 42-year-old woman's residence yesterday at 6:15 a.m.

Richburg allegedly identified himself as an electric company employee to the woman, who was showering, and told her she had to leave her residence due to a fire.

Richburg is also charged with inappropriately touching the woman, who later discovered several personal items missing from her residence.

Richburg was arrested yesterday at 1808 S. Beretania St. shortly after the incident was reported.
